Brand new to the spirits industry, Kjersten Merila is already shaking things up…over ice. Vodka’s the game, Her Spirit’s the name. Kjersten, Owner and Co-founder of Her Spirit, believes the achievement of starting her own company and working on Her Spirit is incredible, but is outweighed by the rewarding feeling of contributing. 50% of the profits from Her Spirit will be given back to female entrepreneurs. Kjersten’s goal was to create something bigger than herself and have fun doing it. When she’s not out creating a buzz for Her Spirit, she works full time in the Healthcare industry, spends time with her rescue pup, and works with her husband on how to take the Her Spirit brand to the next level. Her Spirit Vodka is now available throughout Minnesota!
Each Monday, Her Spirit posts a podcast episode called 'It's All About Her'. These podcasts highlight inspiring women entrepreneurs who share their story with all of us. Below, you get small glimpse into this week's fierce female!
If you check out 'It's All About Her' on iTunes, you'll also see regular episodes with Kjersten and Steve. Here they discuss what they've been up to that week for Her Spirit along with some off topic rambles...usually with a cocktail in hand! These tend to be quite humorous and entertaining!

Who is "She?"
Simply, she is style. "Don't just look good, feel good too," is her motto. Residing in the Twin Cities with her husband, the couples twin daughters and their bull dog massive, Foo, Nashea is the plug on all things fashion and style. While style is her thing, Nashea also works as an educator on living a life of style and authenticity with a healthy mind, body and soul. After years of struggling with her own battles of depression and anxiety, for Nashea, personal styling and helping others became her therapy. Working with various non profit organizations in the Twin Cities area, Nashea educates the community as a Mental Health Awareness Advocate by hosting "Self Esteem, Soul and Style" workshops. With the spirit of a hustler and a heart of humility, seasonally Nashea also curates her own style collection. Simply She Is Styles' "Trunk and Brunch" is a seasonal pop up shop and clothing drive, benefiting local clothing closets including Hallie Q Brown, St. Stephens and Martha's Closet. Whether it's life or style, Nashea has a library of knowledge, tips and stories to share in hopes of helping someone else find their way back to their own rainbow, one day at a time, with a little bit of a style and a whole lot of soul.
